Web, network and application security are becoming increasingly thorny and difficult issues for IT managers and end-users
to solve. Gone are the days when slowly propagating viruses, worms and Trojans were the primary dangers that we faced
on a daily basis—today, these have been replaced by threats that can propagate around the world in less than 15 minutes.
Add to them the problems imposed by adware, spyware and other types of malware that can be spread through email, malicious websites, wikis, blogs, instant messaging (IM) clients, peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing clients and other applications that may or may not be legitimate when used in a business context.
