Web Security at theRSA Conference
By Iolande Bloxsom This year’s RSA Conference (February 5th through 9th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco) will continue the show’s year-over-year growth. There will be more than 340 exhibitors, 220 sessions and 19 class tracks for more than 15,000 expected attendees – compared to 2006’s show with 275 exhibitors, 200 sessions, 17 class tracks and around 14,000 attendees. Amid all the hustle and hype, a few companies stand out – some for technological innovations in Web security, others for “best of breed” solutions or unique new products. Arbor Networks’ bold new initiative is to track global vulnerabilities and make the results searchable via a public website. We also profile industry-leading offerings from IronPort and IBM ISS. Vontu breaks new ground with its Vontu 7 release; while startup, Splunk offers a search engine for log data as a free download. The field wraps up with VeriSign, debuting EV SSL certificates.
